I need help figuring out which species of duck this is! Please help.?

Question: This summer I witnessed a very docile duck at our local park. It is some type of puddle duck that is pale yellow with a creamy orange-colored beak. I live in NW Montana, but the duck could've been imported from anywhere... Does anyone know which variety of duck is pale yellow all over, with a solid orange beak?

Answer: Likely a type of peking duck. They are usually white bit they start out as yellow and sometimes keep the colour a bit. If they have been eating a lot of stuff like shrimps or corn in their feed it can colour them too. You should find some pictures here. http://ca.images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?_adv_prop=image&fr=sfp&va=peking+ducks&sz=all They are a pretty standard domestic duck and it could be a released pet or an escapee from a farm. Here is a wikipedia article on them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pekin_duck There is a smaller duck that looks a lot like it called a Calling Duck. They fly better and make more noise, but they are not nearly as common.
